GDPR AND DATA POLICIES

Data Sanitization and destruction

Nextus Donations assure you that our ITAD partners operate with the highest level of compliance. They adhere to all local, regional, and global environmental regulations. Specifically, they all hold ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management certifications. Additionally, they maintain ISO 27001 Security Management certification and either NIST 800-88 or DLA Logistics Information Service certification, ensuring military-grade data destruction and transportation that meets US Department of Defense standards.

Nextus Donations secure data erasure process for donated devices provides donors with complete assurance that no information remains, allowing for reuse rather than end of life destruction.

We process data-bearing assets from our partners and sanitize them using trusted data-wiping Blancco software certified to ADISA or NIST global standards. Data wiping is the only truly assured method of data destruction, as each individual drive generates its own hard drive erasure report, certifying the date and method used. Any devices that fail the wiping process will be physically destroyed and you will be presented with a certificate of destruction (COD) .

TIMEFRAMES:

Service Timescales

Following a collection, Nextus Donations enter the internal processes stages whereby a processing ‘Batch’ is created within 24 hours of its arrival at our secure premises. Equipment is processed and stored in our secure facility in a monitored and alarmed environment. During the cleansing stage the environment can only be accessed by CRB checked and vetted employees and any personal data carrying equipment must be checked in prior to entry to the secure area. We then aim to process equipment and complete data sanitisation or destruction within 45 working days.
